Linate is located about 8 km from the center of Milan . It's the most convenient airport for those staying in the city: a short drive will get you to your hotel, eliminating the need for lengthy transfers after landing.
Precisely because of this proximity, many travelers choose not to drive right away. You can have the car delivered directly to your hotel the day after arrival, or pick it up at the airport and head straight for the lake or mountains. It's up to you to decide based on your travel plans.
Linate is primarily used for domestic and European flights. If you're arriving from outside Europe, you'll usually land at a major European airport and continue on a short flight to Linate, or you can fly directly to Malpensa.
For business trips, Linate is very convenient: you can arrive in the morning, have the car for the day's appointments, and leave in the evening from the same airport.
Before your arrival, we'll arrange a meeting point based on your flight schedule. We simply ask you to provide us with your flight number and let us know if your flight schedule changes. If you're landing late in the evening or very early in the morning, please let us know when you make your request.
Milan's historic center has a limited traffic zone. If your hotel is located in that area, hotel delivery saves you the hassle of navigating the city center.
Lake Como can be reached from Linate in about an hour by car. It's an easy day trip: you can have lunch on the lake and return to the city in the evening. The roads along the shore are narrow, and parking in the villages is limited: for this trip, a compact sports car or a mid-size SUV are more practical.
If you're mostly staying in the city, a compact car is easier to park and navigate in traffic. If you're planning trips to the lakes or mountains, an SUV offers more comfort and luggage space.
For a dinner or a special evening, you can also choose a sports or supercar and pair it with a more practical vehicle for the rest of your stay.
Milan has three airports. Besides Linate, Milan Malpensa Airport handles the majority of intercontinental flights, while Orio al Serio Airport , near Bergamo, is served primarily by low-cost airlines.
You can pick up your car at one airport and return it at another: for example, arriving at Linate and leaving from Malpensa for an intercontinental flight.
When you depart from Linate, we'll arrange a return location and time with you. Thanks to its proximity to the city center, you can also leave your car at your hotel and take a taxi to the airport. If you prefer to return it at the airport, please allow a little time before boarding, especially during peak traffic hours.
