When you book, please provide us with your flight code and your expected landing time. With this information, we'll schedule a meeting: our representative will be waiting for you in the arrivals area or at a location we've agreed upon. Before handing you the keys, we'll walk around the car with you and show you the main controls.
During high season, the airport is very busy, especially on weekends. If your flight schedule changes, please message us as soon as you know and we'll arrange a new time.
During the summer months, Olbia receives many private jets bound for the Costa Smeralda . General aviation passengers pass through a separate area from airline passengers, with its own rules for vehicle access.
In this case, please let us know who's handling your arrival on land or the crew's contact information. We'll agree on the delivery location with them, so you can get into the car and drive to the villa or port without any further steps.
Once you exit the airport, your first choice is which direction to take. Heading north, you'll find Porto Rotondo, San Pantaleo, and Porto Cervo: the latter takes about 40 minutes, longer on August evenings. Continuing, you'll reach Palau in less than an hour, where ferries depart for La Maddalena.
To the south, you'll find long beaches and towns like San Teodoro and Budoni, about half an hour and 40 minutes away, respectively. If you're staying in the city, Olbia 's city center is just a few minutes away.
Upon arrival, the practical issue is luggage. Supercars like the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder or the Ferrari F8 Spider have limited luggage space, and two weeks in a villa require a lot of space. A simple solution is to pick up an SUV at the airport , such as the BMW X7 40d or the Range Rover, and have the convertible delivered to the villa the next day.
For villas accessible only by dirt roads, the Land Rover Defender 110 is the most reassuring choice. If you're traveling with a large group, choose the Mercedes-Benz V-Class: it offers space for a group or a family with lots of luggage. On unfamiliar roads, drive slowly immediately after your flight.
The roads leading to the Gallura villas are often poorly lit and winding, and the final stretch can be a private road that's difficult to spot in the dark. Please send us the exact location of the property in advance. If you prefer, you can reach the villa by taxi on the first evening and have the car delivered the following morning.
At the end of your stay, you can leave your car at the airport before your return flight. We'll arrange a time together, taking into account summer traffic to the airport. If you prefer, we can collect it from the villa and you can take a taxi to the airport.
Those who want to see the south of the island can pick up their car in Olbia and return it to Cagliari Airport . The quickest route crosses the interior in about three hours; the one on the eastern side, near the Gulf of Orosei and through Ogliastra, takes longer but is very scenic. This way, you don't have to backtrack, and you catch your return flight from Cagliari.
