Please provide your flight number and landing time when you request your rental. Upon arrival, we'll meet you in the arrivals area or at the agreed-upon location, check the condition of the vehicle with you, and hand over the keys.
If your flight lands very early in the morning or late in the evening, please let us know in your request so we can arrange a meeting time. Even if you're arriving by private plane, you can pick up the car here: we'll arrange the delivery location with you and your crew.
The airport is located a few kilometers from Bergamo , next to the A4 motorway that connects Milan to Brescia, Verona, and Venice. From the airport, you can reach the motorway in just a few minutes, both east and west.
To get to the center of Milan , about 50 km away, it usually takes less than an hour. However, the stretch of the A4 between Bergamo and Milan is very busy: on weekdays, it's best to avoid the early morning and late afternoon. This makes Orio al Serio particularly convenient if your trip begins outside the city, on the lakes or in the mountains, and ends in Milan.
Of the large lakes, the closest to the airport is Iseo, about 40 minutes away. In the middle of the lake is Monte Isola, accessible by boat; on the shores are tranquil villages like Iseo, Sarnico, and Lovere. It's a less crowded destination than Lake Como, perfect for a day in a convertible.
South of the lake lie the hills of Franciacorta, a sparkling wine region with small villages nestled among the vineyards and wineries that welcome visitors by reservation.
The Lecco branch of Lake Como is about 45 minutes away. Bellagio, at the tip between the two branches, takes longer because the roads along the shores are narrow and slow. To the east, Desenzano and the southern shore of Lake Garda are about an hour away.
In winter, Orio al Serio is also a good starting point for the mountains. Saint Moritz can be reached in about three hours via Lecco and Valchiavenna. At the border, remember that Switzerland is outside the European Union and bring your documents with you. Winter tires are always recommended for cars during this time of year.
For the lakes and Franciacorta, a compact convertible like the Porsche 718 Boxster or the Abarth 595 Turismo Cabrio can easily navigate the narrow streets of the towns. If your schedule includes business meetings in Milan, an Audi RS3 or a Mercedes-AMG A45 S are easy to park and comfortable in traffic.
For the mountains, with skis and luggage, an SUV like the Mercedes-AMG G63, the Range Rover Sport, or the Audi Q8 is more suitable. Those traveling in a group can count on the Mercedes-Benz V-Class van, which has room for a group or a family with lots of luggage.
You can return the car to Orio al Serio before your return flight, leaving a margin for highway traffic. If you're departing on an intercontinental flight, the car can remain at Milan Malpensa or Linate airports. The trip can also end in Switzerland or another European country.
