When you request a rental, please provide your flight number and your arrival time. On the day of your arrival, a member of our staff will meet you in the arrivals area or at the agreed-upon location, give you a quick tour of the vehicle, and explain the controls you need to get started.
If you're landing on a private flight, your arrival on land will follow a different route than passengers on scheduled flights. Tell us who's managing it, and we'll work with them to determine where to drop off your car.
Galileo Galilei Airport is located just minutes from the center of Pisa , near the highway to Florence and the coastal highway. Thanks to numerous connections to European cities, it is often the most convenient stopover for those heading to Florence, Versilia, or Liguria.
Lucca is about half an hour away. Its city center is enclosed by walls and traffic is limited: leave your car outside and enter on foot through one of the gates. Volterra, an Etruscan city known for its alabaster works, is about an hour and a quarter away through the hills. On the road to Florence, San Miniato, a hilltop village known for its white truffles, is about 40 minutes away.
Heading south, the road follows the Livorno coastline and in about an hour reaches Bolgheri, a region renowned for its world-famous red wines. The village is reached along a cypress-lined avenue made famous by a poem by Giosuè Carducci: it's a slow stretch, best done with the roof open.
Continuing on, you reach Piombino, about an hour and a half from the port, the port of embarkation for the Island of Elba. Further south, you enter the Maremma region, with the beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia and the Argentario promontory.
About 40 minutes north is Forte dei Marmi , the Versilia hub. In about an hour, you enter Liguria: from the La Spezia area, tours of the Cinque Terre depart , where the villages can be explored on foot or by local train; it's best to leave your car at your hotel.
For the Bolgheri avenue, Versilia, and the coastal roads, a convertible is the natural choice if you're traveling light: for example, the Porsche 911 (992) 4S Cabriolet or, among our supercars , the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder. If the farmhouse or villa is located in the countryside, at the end of a dirt road, an SUV like the BMW X5 30d or the Porsche Cayenne S Coupé is better.
If you're coming with your family, the 7-seater Land Rover Defender 110 lets you all travel together without splitting the group into two cars.
You can return your car to Pisa before your return flight, allowing for a return fee. Many trips, however, cross the region: you arrive in Pisa, spend a few days in Versilia or the countryside, and depart from Florence Airport , about an hour's drive away.
If your return flight is intercontinental, you can leave your car at Rome Fiumicino Airport. Following the coast and the Maremma region, the journey takes about four hours, which you can break up with a night in Argentario or inland. Please let us know the dates and locations in your request, so we can arrange delivery and drop-off at the two selected locations.
