Antibes and Juan-les-Pins: A Practical Guide to Your Stay

Delivery between Antibes, the Cap and Juan-les-Pins

We can deliver your car to your hotel, your villa on Cap d'Antibes, or a private address in the city or Juan-les-Pins. If you're arriving by yacht, we can meet you at the dock of Port Vauban where your boat is moored.

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is about 20-30 minutes away: you can pick up your car upon arrival and leave it there on the day of departure, or return it to another city, even outside France.

Port Vauban and Fort Carré

Port Vauban is one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean and accommodates boats of all sizes, from small sailboats to superyachts. The latter moor along a dedicated pier, known as Quai des Milliardaires, which can be recognized from the waterfront by the size of the vessels.

Above the harbor, on a promontory, stands Fort Carré, a 16th-century star-shaped fortress that can be visited. From its vantage point, you can see the harbor, the old town, and, on clear days, the mountains to the hinterland.

The old town and the Provençal market

The historic center of Antibes is protected on the waterfront by ancient walls, which can be explored on foot, with the Mediterranean on one side and the houses on the other. Inside, the streets narrow and are lined with small restaurants; it's best to leave your car in the parking lots near the port.

Under the awning of the Cours Masséna, the Provençal market takes place in the morning: cheeses, olives, spices, soaps, and seasonal flowers. Arrive early, before the heat and the crowds crowd the aisles between the stalls.

The Picasso Museum in the Grimaldi Castle

On the walls, overlooking the sea, Grimaldi Castle houses the Picasso Museum. In 1946, the painter worked there for several months and left the city a series of works created in those very rooms.

The visit takes an hour or so and can easily be combined with a stroll through the old town. From the castle terrace, where several sculptures are displayed, the view opens up over the coast towards Nice.

The Cap d'Antibes

Cap d'Antibes is the peninsula separating Antibes from Juan-les-Pins. It's covered in pine trees and large villas hidden behind tall gates, with a few narrow streets crisscrossing it. A pedestrian path runs along the edge of the cape, past rocks and small coves, perfect for an early morning stroll with comfortable shoes.

At the highest point are the Garoupe lighthouse and a small chapel. From there, the view extends across the Bay of Angels and, on clear days, all the way to the Alps. The nearby Garoupe beach is small and popular: parking spaces fill up quickly in the summer.

Juan-les-Pins: beaches and evenings

Juan-les-Pins, on the western side of the cape, has well-equipped sandy beaches, many bars, and a pine forest near the sea. In the evenings, the town center comes alive with restaurants and bars until late, and the Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival in the summer attracts musicians and audiences from many countries.

During the festival, finding parking near the pine forest is difficult: if you have a concert ticket, leave your car at the hotel and walk or take a taxi to the center.

Biot and Saint-Paul-de-Vence

About a quarter of an hour from Antibes, Biot is a hilltop village known for its glassblowing: in the glassworks, you can watch the artisans at work. At the foot of the village is the national museum dedicated to Fernand Léger, its façade decorated with a large colorful mosaic.

Saint-Paul-de-Vence is about twenty minutes further inland, enclosed within its walls, with art galleries and shops. Just outside the village, the Maeght Foundation exhibits modern art in a building surrounded by a sculpture garden.

Which car and where to go today

On the roads of the cape and along the coast, a discovery makes every journey a pleasure: on the supercars page , you'll find the Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder, Ferraris, and other sports cars in the fleet. If there are several of you at the villa, consider an SUV or the V-Class.

Antibes is centrally located on the coast: from here you can reach Cannes in about 20 minutes and Nice in about half an hour, while Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the Principality of Monaco can be reached in about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.
