Why rent a luxury car in Monte Carlo?

Monte-Carlo is the heart of the Principality of Monaco, nestled between the Casino, the Port Hercule with its superyachts, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix that transforms its streets into a legendary racetrack every year. Few destinations in the world are so naturally linked to luxury cars. Milan Luxury Cars delivers and collects your vehicle directly in Monte-Carlo, at your hotel, or at the airport—wherever you prefer in Europe. Our rental service is also available in Nice , just minutes away, to extend your experience along the French Riviera. Discover all our other destinations in the Principality of Monaco.

THE MOST REQUESTED CARS

Monte-Carlo: the Rock, Larvotto, and La Turbie

The Rock: the Palace and the Oceanographic Museum

The Rock is the spur on which Monaco-Ville, the oldest part of the Principality, stands. The changing of the guard takes place every day just before noon in front of the Prince's Palace. A few steps away is the cathedral, where the princes of Monaco and Princess Grace are buried.

At the edge of the Rock, built overlooking the sea, the Oceanographic Museum houses a large aquarium and collections dedicated to the exploration of the seas. Traffic is restricted in the upper part: park at the foot of the Rock and take the public elevators up. Further information on the Principality can be found on the Monaco page.

The Larvotto and the Japanese Garden

Larvotto is the Principality's public beach, east of the Casino, with a pedestrian promenade and restaurants overlooking the water. It's convenient for a few hours at the beach without leaving Monaco, even with children.

Along the avenue that runs alongside it is the Japanese Garden, with a pond, small bridges, and a teahouse. Admission is free and it's perfect for a break in the shade.

The April tennis tournament

The April tennis tournament brings many of the circuit's top players to the clay courts. The courts are located on the hillside east of the Principality, just across the border, in the French town of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.

The road to the courts is busy that week. If you're coming for the matches, ask us to deliver the car to your hotel: for a family moving between the courts and restaurants, the Mercedes-AMG G63 offers space and comfort.

La Turbie and the Trophy of Augustus

Above Monaco, along the Grande Corniche, the village of La Turbie preserves the Trophy of Augustus, a Roman monument built over two thousand years ago to celebrate the emperor's victory over the Alpine peoples. From the garden surrounding it, the view extends over the Principality, the port, and the coast all the way to Italy.

The climb takes about 20 minutes and is a real pleasure in a convertible, like those described for Ferrari rentals in Monte Carlo . On the way back, you can head down towards Menton or Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Luxury car rental in Monte Carlo: delivery, borders, and the French Riviera

Where we deliver the car to you

The Principality is just over two square kilometers in size, so almost everyone comes from outside. We deliver to hotels in Monte Carlo and Larvotto, to private addresses, to ports, and especially to Nice Côte d'Azur Airport , which is about 19 miles (30 km) away and is the main hub: by car, it's just over thirty minutes along the highway or, if you have time, an hour on the Corniche with one of the most beautiful views in Europe.

Monaco is not part of the European Union

This is the detail that's most often overlooked. The Principality is a sovereign state outside the European Union, despite using the euro and being surrounded by France. For travelers, this means carrying a passport or identity document in addition to a driver's license, and informing us when requesting a quote that the itinerary crosses the border: the travel permits vary.

The same goes for France, where some cities require the Crit'Air environmental sticker to enter low-emission zones.

Which car makes sense here

Monte Carlo is one of the very few places in the world where the supercar isn't an extravagance, but the setting: Casino Square, Port Hercule, and the roads that mirror the Grand Prix circuit are made for that. For those traveling between the Principality and the villas inland, or traveling as a party of four with luggage, a luxury SUV is more practical. For families, crews, and delegations, a luxury van is the perfect choice.

The French Riviera at your fingertips

From Monte Carlo, Nice is half an hour away, Èze a quarter of an hour uphill, Cannes an hour, and Saint-Tropez two hours. On the other side, Sanremo and the Ligurian Riviera are fifty minutes away, and Milan three and a half hours: we deliver and collect in both directions.

The weeks in which the Principality fills up

The Monaco Grand Prix in May, the Monaco Yacht Show in September, the period between Christmas and New Year's , and the Cannes Film Festival in May, which drains availability along the entire coast. During those weeks, availability is the first thing to sell out: it's best to book well in advance.

If you come from abroad

Driver's license, passport or ID, and credit card in the driver's name. For non-EU customers, requirements vary from country to country: you can find them in the guide to documents, security deposit, and insurance.
