Ferrari at Nice Airport: From Landing to the First Road on the Coast

Collect the Ferrari as soon as you land

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is located on the seafront, a few kilometers from the city center, and is divided into two terminals. Picking up your Ferrari here means you can set off straight away, without a taxi or any other transfers. When you book, please provide your flight number and terminal: delivery will take place upon arrival and we'll show you the car before your departure.

If your flight is delayed, please let us know as soon as possible. During the summer months, the area in front of the terminals is very busy, so it's helpful to arrange a specific meeting point in advance.

The baggage problem and how to solve it

A Ferrari has limited luggage space. For a weekend getaway for two, soft bags are sufficient, but for a longer stay with large suitcases, it's best to plan differently.

A practical solution is to combine the Ferrari with a second vehicle: a Mercedes-Benz V-Class, driven by another member of the group, will take luggage and passengers directly to the hotel, while you reach your destination in the Ferrari. Alternatively, you can have an SUV picked up at the airport for the transfer and have the Ferrari delivered to your hotel the next day. All options are in the luxury van section.

Which model to choose between the F8 Spider, F8 Tributo, and Roma Spider?

For a summer vacation on the French Riviera, the Ferrari F8 Spider and Ferrari Roma Spider allow for open-top driving along the coast. The Roma Spider is more suited to those seeking a relaxed drive and city evenings; the F8 Spider is for those seeking a sportier feel on hilly roads.

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is a coupé and is the perfect choice for spring and autumn, when the days are cooler, or for those who prefer a closed cockpit. You can find it, along with other sports cars, on the supercars page.

The first roads after the airport

From the airport, the Promenade des Anglais leads to the center of Nice , along the seafront. Traffic in the city is often slow, and the old town has narrow streets: if your hotel is in that area, ask in advance where to park your car.

To the east, beyond the port of Nice, the coastal road leads to Villefranche-sur-Mer and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat , with villas, gardens, and small bays. Continuing, you arrive in the Principality of Monaco, about 30-40 minutes from the airport without traffic.

In the city, watch out for scooters, which are numerous and fast in traffic, and for tram tracks on some downtown streets. For longer trips west or toward Italy, the highway is faster than the coast, but it has toll booths: have a payment card ready before setting off.

The hinterland of Nice

Just behind the airport, a short drive away, are Saint-Paul-de-Vence and Vence, artistic villages nestled in olive-tree-covered hills. The roads connecting them are quiet, with gentle curves and little traffic on weekdays. They're ideal for getting used to the Ferrari in the first few days of your vacation.

In Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the historic center is pedestrianized, and parking is available at the entrance to the town. Arrive early in the morning, especially in summer, when visitors are plentiful.

Late evening arrivals

If you land late at night, consider driving straight away or taking a taxi to the hotel and picking up the Ferrari the next morning. After a long flight, unfamiliar roads and darkness can make the first drive less pleasant. Dropping off at the hotel the next day allows you to leave feeling refreshed and in the light of day.

Return before departure

You can return your Ferrari at the airport on the day of your flight, or at your hotel, the port, or another city. If you leave your car at the airport, allow plenty of time for traffic and for a car inspection before checking in, especially on summer weekends.

The collection can also take place in another country: for example, in Italy, if after the French Riviera you continue towards the Ligurian Riviera or towards Milan.
