Mercedes V300d at Nice Airport: From the Terminal to the French Riviera

Arriving in Nice as a group

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the main hub on the French Riviera, and almost all Riviera holidays depart from here. For those arriving in a group, the most challenging part is leaving the terminal: lots of luggage, tired children, and the need to find transportation for everyone at the same time.

The Mercedes V300d 4Matic Extra Long solves this problem. It has room for a group or family with lots of luggage, and allows you to leave the airport together, in a single vehicle driven by one of you.

Two terminals: show us the right one

The airport has two terminals, and depending on your airline, you'll land in one or the other. When requesting a quote, please provide your flight number so we know where to drop off the van and can schedule the meeting based on your actual flight arrival time.

The airport is located a few kilometers from the center of Nice , right on the sea. If your hotel is in the city, the trip is short; if you're staying in a villa in the hills or elsewhere on the coast, having the van waiting for you upon landing saves you a second transfer.

Transfers to Monaco, Cannes and the villas on the coast

From Nice Airport, the Principality of Monaco can be reached in about 30-40 minutes, and Cannes in about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Antibes, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, and Villefranche-sur-Mer are even closer. These are short trips, but in summer, coastal roads can be slower: it's best to avoid rush hour.

Many villas on the French Riviera are located on narrow, uphill roads, with private entrances and gates. If you have a long vehicle, it's best to ask the owners first for directions and where to turn.

The weeks of events

During the Cannes Film Festival in May and the Monaco Grand Prix in late May and early June, traffic on the Riviera increases significantly and parking becomes scarce. During those days, the van allows guests, delegations, and families to travel together between hotels, receptions, and dinners; however, it's a good idea to know where to park at each stop.

For these periods, it's best to request a quote well in advance, specifying dates, times, and the number of people. The clearer your itinerary, the easier it will be to organize your travel without surprises.

Day trips and trips to Italy

Leaving Nice by van, you can easily visit the inland villages, such as Saint-Paul-de-Vence or Èze, and Grasse with its perfumeries. To the east, Menton is the last French city before the Italian border, and Sanremo is just beyond. The van can also be picked up in Italy, such as Milan, if the trip continues to Lake Como or other cities of art.

For a group staying a week on the Riviera, a van is convenient for both airport transfers and day trips: the driver chooses the timing of the stops, and everyone travels together. For dinners in Monaco or Cannes, decide in advance who will drive the return trip.

Leaving from the airport at the end of the holiday

On the day of departure, the van can take the group directly to the terminal, with all their luggage. It's a good idea to allow plenty of time, as the final stretch to the airport is often busy during the summer. If the drop-off takes place elsewhere, we can arrange a time and location.

Alternatives in the fleet

If your group prefers an SUV, the 7-seater Land Rover Defender 110 and the BMW X7 40d are good options. For those who add a car for evenings out as a couple, the Ferrari F8 Spider or the Porsche 911 (992) 4S Cabriolet are ideal for coastal roads. Other options are collected among the luxury vans.
