Why rent a luxury car in Salou?

Salou is one of the most popular coastal destinations on the Costa Daurada, with wide beaches, a lively promenade, and proximity to Barcelona and Tarragona. Where we deliver the car to you

In Salou, we'll deliver your car to your hotel, a beachfront apartment, or a villa in the Cap de Salou residential area, where the coastline opens up into small coves between the rocks. A coastal path connects them, making it a pleasant early morning walk. We also deliver to hotels in the PortAventura World complex and Cambrils, if that's where you're staying.

If you're arriving by boat, we can meet you at the Salou or Cambrils marinas. Low-emission zones exist in several Spanish cities; please let us know when booking which stops you're planning.

Arriving by plane

Reus Airport is about a quarter of an hour from Salou and is served primarily by seasonal flights. Many international travelers land at Barcelona-El Prat Airport , about an hour and a quarter away. We only need your flight and arrival time to have the car waiting for you as soon as you land, either in arrivals or at a location to be agreed upon, so you can drive directly from the airport to your hotel.

PortAventura World and Ferrari Land

PortAventura World, just minutes from the city center, combines a theme park, a water park, and Ferrari Land, the area dedicated to the Maranello-based car manufacturer. The complex has several hotels: it's convenient for families to pick up their car there and use it on days off from the park, to explore the coast or inland.

After a day at Ferrari Land, you can get behind the wheel of a real Ferrari: the F8 Tributo and the Roma Spider are part of our supercar range . Park opening times vary throughout the year, so check before planning your stay.

Cambrils and its port

Cambrils, about ten minutes along the coast, is a fishing port with a seafront lined with restaurants specializing in fish and rice dishes. Next to the fishing boats is a recreational boating area, and the town offers a quieter atmosphere than Salou, making it suitable for couples.

For a dinner in the port without worrying about parking, leave your car at the hotel and take a taxi to Cambrils.

Roman Tarragona

Tarragona, about a quarter of an hour from Salou, was once Tarraco, one of the main cities of Roman Spain. Its ruins are a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the amphitheater overlooking the sea, the circus, the walls, and the praetorium tower can be visited on foot in the upper part of the city, around the cathedral.

A few kilometers north of the city center, the Roman aqueduct known as Pont del Diable crosses a pine-lined valley and is easy to reach by car. Once in the city, it's best to park in a public garage and walk along the Rambla Nova to the Balcó del Mediterrani, a sea viewpoint.

The Priorat and Poblet

About an hour from Salou, Priorat is an area of mountains and terraced vineyards on slate soils, producing internationally renowned red wines. In villages like Gratallops and Porrera, many wineries welcome visitors by reservation, and the ruins of the Scala Dei Charterhouse are a reminder of the monks who spread grape growing here.

The roads are narrow and winding: a sports car like the Porsche 911 (992) S Coupé or the BMW M2 is a pleasure to drive here, while for a tasting tour in a van the whole group travels together: decide in advance who will drive and who will forgo the tastings. The Cistercian monastery of Poblet, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is about 45 minutes from Salou and can be added on the same day, along with Montblanc and its medieval walls.

The Ebro Delta

To the south, about an hour away, the Ebro Delta is a natural park of rice paddies, lagoons, and long, wild beaches. The roads are flat and lightly trafficked, crossing fields flooded in spring and summer and leading to bird watching spots where flamingos are often seen.

Mussels and oysters are farmed in the delta's bays, served in local restaurants. For the dirt roads to some beaches, an SUV , such as a Land Rover Defender 110 or Range Rover Sport, is more suitable.

Barcelona, Valencia and the season

Barcelona is about an hour and a half away, and Valencia about two and a half. The car you pick up in Salou can be returned in either city, or in France if you continue north. The seaside is pleasant from May to September, with July and August being very busy; spring and autumn are more suitable for Tarragona and the wineries, especially during the grape harvest.
