Davos, in the Grisons, is also a popular winter destination. In Ticino, Lugano combines the lakeside climate with an Italian atmosphere: it's convenient for those who want to alternate a few days in the Alps with a few days by the lake.
From December to March, demand focuses on ski resorts, particularly Saint-Moritz, Zermatt, and Gstaad. From June to September, the Alpine passes are open, and the lakes become the main destination.
