Turin Airport is located in Caselle, about a half-hour drive north of the city center. Let us know your flight number and expected time: a member of our staff will meet you in the arrivals hall with the car, or at a location we can agree on. The Porta Nuova and Porta Susa stations are served by high-speed trains, which connect to Milan in about an hour.
Many intercontinental flights arrive at Malpensa Airport: from there, Turin is about an hour and a half away by highway, and we can deliver your car directly to the airport. Find details on the Milan Malpensa Airport page.
The historic center is a limited traffic zone. Therefore, we deliver directly to the hotel entrance and recommend walking around Piazza Castello, Via Roma, and Piazza San Carlo.
On days dedicated to historic cafés and museums, such as the Egyptian Museum, with one of the most important collections of Egyptian antiquities in the world, the car can be left in the garage. It comes in handy as soon as you head out towards the hills, the royal residences, and the Langhe.
On the right bank of the Po River, the Turin hill is a neighborhood of villas and tree-lined streets. A scenic road climbs to the Basilica of Superga, designed by Filippo Juvarra, from which you can see the city and, on clear days, the Alps. The basilica can also be reached by a rack-and-pinion tram. The hill's streets are narrow and steep: a smaller car is recommended for easy navigation.
Closer to the center, Monte dei Cappuccini offers a terrace overlooking the city and the river, with the Mole in the foreground: a good spot for a sunset stop before dinner.
The Royal Palace of Venaria, a hunting lodge of the Savoy family with extensive gardens, is about a half-hour northwest of the city. To the south, the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge, also designed by Juvarra, is about 20 minutes away. Both are part of the Savoy Residences, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Car enthusiasts will find another stop at Lingotto, the former FIAT factory with a rooftop test track, now transformed into a complex with shops, hotels, and the Pinacoteca Agnelli.
Alba is about an hour south: from here, roads lead through the Barolo and Barbaresco hills, dotted with vineyards, castles, and small hilltop villages. The wine-growing landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In autumn, Alba hosts the International White Truffle Fair, while the grape harvest is under way in the hills: it's the busiest season, also for local hotels and restaurants. Visits to the most famous wineries are available by reservation.
Asti, about 45 minutes east, is the gateway to Monferrato, the land of Barbera and Moscato. The roads of Monferrato are less traveled than those of the Langhe and pass through hilltop villages and castles: a perfect route for a day in a convertible.
Turin is surrounded by the Alps. Sestriere, host of the 2006 Winter Olympics, is just over an hour and a half away and is part of the Via Lattea ski area, which reaches all the way to the French border. To the north, the Aosta Valley highway takes you to Courmayeur in about an hour and three-quarters, and through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, to Chamonix.
The Fréjus Tunnel connects the Susa Valley with Savoy and the French ski resorts. In winter, our vehicles always come with winter tires. The Côte d'Azur, via Savona, takes about three hours; if your trip involves French cities with low-emission zones, please let us know your route when booking.
For getting around the city and up the hills, the Abarth 595 Turismo Cabrio, one of our city cars , is agile, easy to park and opens up on sunny days. For the Langhe, a Ferrari Roma Spider or a Porsche 911 (992) 4S Cabriolet are perfect for navigating the curves through the vineyards.
For winter mountain trips, an all-wheel drive SUV like the Land Rover Defender 110 or Range Rover is best. At the end of your trip, you can return the car in Milan , the Aosta Valley, or France.
Do you deliver to Caselle Airport? Yes, at Arrivals or at the agreed-upon location, and we can pick up the car there before departure.
Is it worth keeping your car during your days in the city? It's not necessary: the city center is a limited traffic zone and is best explored on foot. You can pick it up at your hotel the morning of your first trip.
How far is Alba? About an hour's drive south. A full day tour of Barolo and Barbaresco is recommended.
When is the Alba truffle fair held? In the fall: during those weeks, it's best to book in advance.
Can I drive to France? Yes, via Fréjus or Mont Blanc, or along the coast towards Nice. Please let us know when booking.
How do I organize a tour of the Langhe with tastings? With the Mercedes-Benz V-Class, the group travels together; whoever drives forgoes the tastings, so decide before you leave.
Which car for the Langhe? A convertible for the roads through the vineyards; an SUV if your estate is reached by a dirt road.
Is there a risk of receiving a different car than the one you booked? No, the model is always guaranteed. If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before delivery.
